Beneath is a quick overview of the new developments “Vocas IBC 2011 Preview”.

1. New kits for the Sony NEX-FS100

2. New shoulder support

This shoulder support features an attachment which allows the support to snap on to standard 15mm light weight rails that are already present on the camera. This means that you can quickly attach or remove the shoulder support anywhere on the standard 15mm rails without having to remove the 15mm rails from the support and other accessories.

3. New E-mount adapter

This adapter allows the use of PL style lenses on cameras that use a Sony E-mount, such as the Sony NEX-FS100. Featuring back focus adjustment through varying thickness shim rings and an adjustable end position for the lens locking ring. Included with this lens mount adapter is a 15mm support bracket which connects the adapter directly to 15mm light weight rails, creating a rock solid attachment point for any size lens.

4. New adapter ring

A new adapter ring for the MB-255 is now available. This adapter ring allows the clip on use of 110mm lenses and is therefore compatible with the Cooke 5/i prime lenses.

5. New 19mm rail sets

Two new lengths of stainless steel 19mm rails have been added to our product line up.

6. New flexible gear ring

The announced new flexible gear ring is now available. This gear ring delivers great quality at a reduced price. It even includes two movable stops.

7. New battery adapter plate

This adapter can be mounted directly on standard 15mm lightweight rails and can also be equipped with the Vocas weight attachment plate and other 1/4" accessories.

8. MB255

The Vocas MB-255 has been specifically designed for use with Zeiss CP.2 lenses. Therefore this mattebox is compatible with lenses that have a front side diameter of up to 114mm. The mattebox features a Quick-Lock mounting system that attaches directly to the front lens barrel.  If required, an MBS-100 mattebox support and a barsadapter on standard 15 mm rails can be used.  This mattebox accommodates 3x3" through 4x6" filters and works with most wide angle lenses in both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.

The Vocas MB-255 has one rotatable and one fixed 4" wide filter tray and also features a patented "heavy duty" French flag clamper.

Internal eyebrows are standard on the MB-255. They can be operated from the outside of the mattebox. These patented internal French flags allow the user to adjust the matte (or mask) to the zoom position of the lens.

Because of the big success of the MB-255, which has superior specs to the MB-250, Vocas Systems has decided to completely replace the MB-250 with the MB-255.
